Is It Good To Take Inderal And Sibelium For Migraine?

Hi,



I have been taking Inderal 10 mg & Sebellium 10mg from last 4 months to cure my migraine.Additionally i am also taking Vasograin & Paramet (1 tab each) whenever the pain triggers during daytime or night.

Pls suggest whether i am taking correct medicines for the treatment & What are the side affects if any?

Hi,

Thanks for the query,

You are taking the correct medications for migraine. How ever, you need not take both Inderal and sibelium together. One of them is enough. Please contact your local neurologist for a prescription. Further, I suggest you to avoid Vasograin in case of any acute attack and just take paramet.

Though medical text books and journal mention many side effects of the medications, please note some of the key problems with your medications are as follows

Inderal: generally will have no problem, but should not be used in patients in bronchial asthma, heart block

Sibelium can cause weight gain, drowsiness and depression
