hi i ve been taking restyl .5 since 5 years and get a good sleep. as i m suffering from insomnia.I read somewhere restyl is used for anxiety and depression not for insomnia. Is it going to be harmful for me ?i dont have depression no other sleeping pills work for me.plz guide...
As I see your history taking restyl is not a good idea for sleep. I understand that you started this medicine for insomnia but probably you are continuing this medicine because you got addicted to this.
You are also right in saying that this is not for sleep as it is not approved by the US FDA for sleep. Despite this it is commonly used for sleep as in your case through out the world.
It is better to seek help for your insomnia from a doctor who will evaluate cause of your insomnia. After evaluation only it can be decided that which drug is most suitable for your sleep problem. In my practice I prefer Zolpidem 5mg for primary insomnia. Thanks
