Is It Necessary To Go For A CT Scan After Hitting Head On Steering Wheel?
My husband slid into a ditch today going about 30 miles per hour and hit is head on the steering wheel, resulting in a size able, yet soft bump on his forehead, / head. Does he need to have a CT scan done? He has a headache, but no nausea or dizziness.
If the headache is mild, take a paracetamol. Apply an ice pack. However, if headache is persistent or severe, loss of consciousness +, nausea or vomiting+ do visit a doctor and get a CT scan done.
The soft bump should go away in 2-3 weeks.
Hope this answer was helpful.
