Is It Normal For A Child To Developed Bark Cough Immediately After Upper Endoscopy?
My 3 year old son had an upper endoscopy 2 weeka ago. Immediately afyer yje procedure while I recovery he developed a croup sounding bark cough. This subsided by the next day but he has since had a persistent dry cough. No other symptoms.is this normal after endoscopy??

Upper GI endoscopy usually does not cause barking cough.
While negotiating the endoscope per chance if it touches vocal cords in the larynx such a cough is possible.
The cough will pass off slowly.
