Is It Normal To Have A Uvula That Does Not Hang Down In The Throat?
my daughter is 8 yrs old and for the last couple of days has said that she has problems swallowing ... i checked her throat and noticed that her uvula does not hang down ... like it should , it is attached to the side of her throat . i hope I am explaining ok . thanks Rosa
Hello,
Did she develop any neurologic problem ?
Anyways if the uvula is deviated to one side and the child is not able to eat normally then you will require to get her examined by a paediatriian or ENT specialist as there can be some infection or there could also be chances of neurologic problems.
Which needs immediate diagnosis and treatment.
In doubt do reply
