Is It Normal To Have Abdomen Pain, Lower Back Pain And Headache After Doing Abortion?

Hi, I went in today to have a D&C and Novasure Ablation completed. I was told during dilation by uterus was perforated and it would heal on it's own. I came home and felt okay, but am having pain in my abdomen, lower back, and now a tremendous headache. Is this normal? I had sedation anesthesia. thank you

If the pain is mild and resolves in a few hours with some rest, you are probably fine. Most small perforations will just heal on their own without any consequence. However, if the pain does not resolve, or if it is severe, or if you develop severe nausea and vomiting, fever, or swelling of your abdomen, you should call your doctor right away. That could be a sign of damage to the bowel which needs to be treated immediately.
