Is It Normal To Have Brown, Mucus Filled Stools While Having Bronchitis?

Good day Doc. My 1year and 2month old son was diagnosed last tuesday of having Bronchitis.He wasn t confined in the hospital since his breathing is okay.He is now taking antibacterial and salbutamol for his cough.My question is his stool is color brown like chocolate and it has mucus in their,is it a good sign?How many days do the medicine be effective after taking it.He wont eat solid foods but he drinks water and alwayd rely on my breast,is it just okay?your answers will be a big help for me to be calm.

Bronchitis doesn't cause brown stools. As your child is passing mucus also there could be some stomach infection, as your child is on antibiotics now it will cover the infection also. As he is sick now he will be having loss of appetite, if he is taking adequate fluids and proper breastfeeding then it is okay, you need not worry.
