Is It Normal To Have Heavy Bleeding After Undergoing Tubal Ligation For PCOS?

Hello, I am a 35 year old female. I am 5 4 and weigh approx 240 pounds. I have had a tubal ligation and one ovary removed due to PCOS. My obgyn at that time decided to leave the ovary with the least cysts for hormones. I usually have heavy periods (use 2 to 3 overnight pads for the 2nd day until the 6th approx) and have just excused it due to my excess weight. This period has me concerned I am on my 12th day of bleeding. Although it is just one overnight pad I am using I am cramping (it is very uncomfortable), extremely tired and weak. My Mom just had cervical cancer which I believe is not something passed down. Is this normal? What advice could you give me? We have moved and the obgyn I trust is back home. Thank your time!
