General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted the history about your husband and understood the concerns.
It is common to have depression after ileostomy in some patients as this causes stress and anxiety too.
Pain at the same side of abdomen can be due to local infection or so and needs a check up by the operating Surgeon.
Low blood pressure and other things can be due to less intake, infection and so on. Check for electrolyte imbalance.
Take help of a stoma specialist for proper care of the stoma and also the psychological part of it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant, General Surgeon
