Is It Normal To Have Missed Periods After Tubal Ligation?

A yr ago I had a tubal ligation and this will be the second time I missed a period. I've taken a test came up negative. Since the ligation my cycle hasn't been normal starting from 1-2 days then starting again a week later for about a week. I'm concerned and if it's normal. Also I was on the hcg drops for a week I've been off of it for two weeks. Could this be part of reason I'm not starting?
