Hi . normal menstruation occurs every monthly with a variation of 21to 35 days for 5to 7 days to cause a loss of 80ml of blood . such a heavy menses with breast tenderness might be associated with either hormonal imbalance or local cause.hypothyroidism, hyperprolactinaemia, fibroid, polyp, congestion due to local inflammationor DUB are some causes. get yourself checked by gynaecologist. get your sonography done to rule out local causes. do blood investigations of tsh, prolactin, cbc, bsl,to rule out systemic causes. you can be prescribed for oc pill or only progesteron pills dependinn on reports .If you are approaching your menapause the andometrial sample to be snt for biopsy to rule out cancer.
