Is It Normal To Vomit After Taking Antibiotics Like Biaxin?

My son was in the walk in clinic today for a fever of 102 for 36 hours. It would break with Advil but spike again. The doctor diagnosed him with scarlet fever and strep throat. He gave him antibiotics biaxin for 10 days in liquid form. He suggested it be taken with food. After supper I gave him his first dose. He vomited about 2 minutes later. We waited a few minutes and tried again, this time he vomited within a minute. Is this caused by the taste/texture or something else? He did vomit once in the night last night (maybe 16 hours prior to taking biaxin) but not at all until taking the medication.
