Is It Ok For Me To Sleep After An Overdose Of Oxycodone ?
i was wounded in afghanistan and placed on hydrocodone 10 mg every 4-6 hrs (i have a very high tolerance now). after surgery last week the put me on oxycodone, 10 mg every 4 hrs. through carelessness and trying 2 supress pain even more. i ingested aout 50 mgs of oxyocodone in the course of 1 hr. i am 38 male very healthy soldier, for a littel bit over an hour now i have been drinking lots of water and hot green tea. am i in any danger of an overdose. im very drowsy. also.....is it ok for me to sleep? and when can i resume my medication?

Indeed, you took a high dose of oxycodone, and I do not recommend to resume the medication by today. If your breathing is ok, and feeling only drowsy, I recommend to take laxatives to induce rapid clearing of the medication from your stomach. Should keep drinking water and juice to flush the medication from your system.
If you will feel unusual symptoms like being lethargic or difficulty with breathing, should seek immediate medical attention. Meanwhile, I highly recommend to keep monitoring your breathing and other vital signs, and keep regular follow ups with your caring doctor.
