Is It Okay To Take Gemifloxacin For Stomach Condition?

my doctor has prescribed Gemifloxacin for my prlonoged stomach condition i was taking metronidazole before that butt the thing that bothers me is that gemifloxacin is for pneumonia no mention of bacterial infection of the intestine in the occupying leaflet is it allright to take it

Gemifloxacin is a fluoroquinolone group of antibiotic commonly prescribed to treat infections caused by susceptible bacteria like pneumonia. It is also found to be effective in the treatment of gastrointestinal infections like bacterial diarrhea caused by microorganisms like shigella, salmonella, toxigenic E coli, and campylobacter.
