Is It Okay To Take Seizure Medication While Suffering From Abdominal Cramps And Muscular Cramps Due To Meningitis?
I looked at the signs of meningitis and I'm not sure what to think. I've had a flu shot about 8 weeks ago. I've got a really bad cough and when I could my neck hurts. I'm not sure my muscles hurt in the top of my neck because I'm coughing so hard, which is also making my stomach muscles hurt. I do have a headache that started yesterday, but went away over night and then started again when I pulled my hair up for work. I've got a fever of 100.1. I've had some spots come up like hives on old scars from past surgeries but they go away soon after they appear and they're only on my old scars. The first time spots came up was about 12 days ago. I've got a stuffy nose but I can still breathe through my nose. I was checked for bacterial menengitis about 28 years ago and it was negative. I was hospitalized because I ended up having pneumonia, bronchitis and strept throat. I had an astrocytoma removed on 11-30-84. I take seizure 2000 mg of seizure medication per day. Can you help me with some advice.
First of all your symptoms doesn't go in favour of meningitis. I feel u have a viral fevern not meningitis. U r using which antiepileptic? If u r on medication from 1984 n if u had not got any fits presently it is time to slowly stop the medication. You should use antiepileptic in case of meningitis.
