Is It Ovranette Or The Periods Cause Epileptic Seizures?

Hi, I've been on ovranette for about four years as my dr thinks that my periods were causing my epileptic seizures, over the last few weeks I've had some bleeding every few days. I don't follow the four week cycle, I'm prescribed the pill for every day without a seven day break so why am I bleeding?

Hi,

Breakthrough bleeding while taking Ovranette daily should theoretically not happen and should be reported to the doctor immediately in order to rule out other potential problems.

You should consult the prescribing physician for instructions on whether or not it would be a good idea for you to stop taking the medication to allow your body a break while the breakthrough bleeding is investigated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dariush Saghafi,
