I recently was diagnosed with balanitis and Im worried that this was caused from std's. Ive always had protected sex (wether it was oral or vaginal). Is it possible to get std's such as Hiv through touching your partner's genitals or rubbing genitals with your partner?

Touching and rubbing genitals is good enough to pose a significant risk of STIs. I would suggest that you see a dermatologist/sexual disease specialist and get a through physical and lab examination, regarding the same.
Herpes, syphilis, HIV, warts, molluscum etc can all be transmitted by rubbing genitals against each others.
