My wife is 30 yeras old and has hypothyroidism since 2002. She used to take Eltroxine 100 mcg but now on Thynorm 75 mcg (since July 2010). There was lot of consultation and medication with Clomid, Erythromycin, Susten-200 etc. done during getting her pregnent. During 5th month of pregnancy, she got swelling and pain in right knee but no medication was done for that. After a month of delivery (by ceserian) in July 2009, she got severe pain in both the knees along with mild fever in the evening. She was given Predmet 4mg daily along with some pain killers, which later on changed many times. While taking Predmet-4 and Indocap, she was daignosed with DVT in right leg in January 2010. Since then she has been taking Acitom 5 mg, Predmet 4 mg, Renetac D, Zerodol S etc till date. The physician is also giving her Shelcal and D-rise (once in month) since 6 months. During the last 6-9 months, doctor has been advising to take Predmet 4 on alternate day and she has tried many times but whenever taken on alternate days, it causes swelling and severe pain in the knee joints with increased skin rashes. The do not subside even with pain killers and she has to come back on the daily course. With the Acitom 5 mg, Predmet 4 mg, Renetac D, Zerodol S, the daily activities are nearly normal but how long these has to be taken????? Moreover, my concern is what would happen if she gets pregnant while taking these medicine???? There is also heavy hair fall since one and half years.
