Is It Safe To Drink Wine After Rhabdomyolysis Treatment?
My 90 you aunt was just released from the hospital with rhibdo. Her doctor told her she could go back on a regular diet--she was on a low Na heart diet. She has decided that this means she can have her "two " glasses on wine every night again. She drinks an average of four glasses a water a day and brags how she never has to get up in the night to urinate. She told me for the first time her urine had turned brown two to three years ago. She was on a small dose of simvastatin which of course she should have been taken off. She hung up on me today when I told her no more wine and she must increase her water intake. Help. My Mom said that my aunt had a strange body odor today, like death. I have a cold and did not notice it. Help please
hi, It is not advisable to continue wine after having suffered from rhabdomyolysis. it is important to keep good hydration to prevent further episodes, hence 3-4 liters of water is required to be taken per day. simvastatin should be stopped irrespective of the cause. if there is anyhting urgent, take her to ER immediately. hope this helped.
