Is It Safe To Give Honey To Children If The Plastic Container Has Melted A Little?
I am a teacher and I made biscuits and honey for my students to try in class today. I microwaved the hard plastic honey jar to get the honey warm. The plastic was very hard but part of it had melted but the honey still looked safe to eat. The plastic jar changed a little shape after I took it out of the microwave but quickly hardened again. Not sure how safe it was to feed to the children. Should I be concerned?
Hello dear, It is better to discard the honey,as when the temperature goes beyond the limit, there is probability of dyes/ingredients of the bottle to be dissolved in honey, which is deleterious for our health. Hope you got cleared.Thank you.
