Is It Safe To Go For Swimming While Suffering From Chesty Cough?
My 3 yr old has a swimming lesson tomorrow. He has developed a chesty cough over the last couple of days with a croaky voice. No other symptoms, no runny nose, no temperature and is fine during the day but his phlegmy cough is troubling him at night. He uses asthma pumps as he gets a lot of coughs but asthma has not been confirmed yet. Should I keep him home or allow him to go. Its an intensive swimming course 30 mins a day for four days starting tomorrow. Thanks

Chest infection can precipitate asthma. But you can send her to the swimming lesson provided you watch her and in-case she develops any breathing difficulty use the asthma pump, if it doesn't reduce take her to a near by hospital.
Hope it helps. If you need further, detailed and quick assistance related to any health issues in future, feel free to 'ask me a question' directly from my profile.
Have a wonderful time ahead.
