Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been taking Xanax, about 4-6mg per day for 1 month but I just found out that I am pregnant. I have an OB/GYN appointment in like 5 days. I do not have a problem stopping but I do not think I will be cleaned out that soon. What should I do for the good of my child and to avoid having any problems with CYS? Also, if I can pass a home urine test before appt. will I be able to pass a blood test?
They are harmful to the baby and should not be taken. It should not give you any concern of clearing your blood tests actually unless they check your absolute drug level of tablet xanax.
It is not necessary that the baby is affected however do your sonography scans religiously just to be very sure that the baby is alright.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Rupesh
