Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
is it ok for my heart rate to jump around or over 30bpm briefly after standing up. after a few seconds it goes back down. for example i can be walking around doing stuff and have a heart rate of 90 when my resting is usally 70-80 while awake. it is my understanding that your heart rate needs to STAY over 120, or more than 30 over your resting heart rate while standing to be a problem. also while sleeping my heart rate goes down to 45-60 bpm and when i wake up even shifting around briefly brings my heart rate up allot. could i be hypersensitive to adrenaline or something? This whole thing is causing allot of anxiety and sleepless nights. please let me know if there is anything to worry about. ime 27 male about 6' 200lb in ok shape sleeping pills and alcohol elevate my heart rate i some times get wierd beats that my doctor said are ok.
After reading the medical details provided by you I would like to tell you that your heart rate has lot of variation which ideally are not there. Although resting or sleep heart rate is definitely less but usually it doesn't go below 40 beats per minute. I would like to suggest you get a HOLTER MONITORING done which is an ambulatory 24 hrs ECG recording to see if any rhythm abnormality is happening transiently at some point or during night. If that comes out to be normal then you need not worry. And don't panic just relax and think positive.
I wish you good luck and health
