HI
WELCOME TO HEALTHCAREMAGIC .THANKS FOR THE QUERY.
I FULLY UNDERSTAND YOUR CONCERNS.
I HAVE GONE THROUGH YOUR MEDICINES.IN THESE FUROSEMIDE IS THE DRUG WICH CAN DECREASE POTASSIUM LEVELS.BUT YOU ALSO TAKE LISINOPRIL WHCH INCREASES POTASSIUM .THUS BOTH THESE SHOULD BALANCE YOUR POTASSIUM.
SO QUESTION IS WHETHER THERE IS NEED FOR POTASSIUM SUPPLEMENT LIKE POTASSIUM CHLORIDE.I WILL ADVISE YOU TO DO SERUM POTASSIUM TEST.ALSO DO SERUM CREATININE TEST WHICH INDICATES KIDNEY FUNCTION.IF KIDNEY IS FUNCTIONING WELL YOU NEED NOT WORRY SINCE EXCESS POTASSIUM IS EXCRETED BY KIDNEY IN THE URINE.
YOU CAN CONSULT YOUR PHYSICIAN WITH THE BLOOD TEST RESULTS AND TAKE A DECISION REGARDING CONTINUATION OF POTASSIUM CHLORIDE.
I HOPE YOUR DOUBTS ARE CLEARED.
WIS YOU GOOD HEALTH!!!
