so i ve been taking accutane for about 5 months now. first month i started with a 20mg a day then the second month i took 40 mg a day then i ve been taking that for another 4 months. Now i am going away for a vacation with my parents for about 4 days then i ll be back for school then leave again for the summer. where i am going its going to be really hot and i cant tan so i went to my dermatologist thinking to tell her to stop the treatment because it hasnt really been working for me and the side effects are bothering me a lot :( but she told me if i stop it might come back just as bad as it was because it kinda went away but still.. so she told me to keep taking it through my first vacation and stop before my second vacantion and she also increased the does to 40 mg a day and 2 pills of 40 mg the next day so that would be 80mg evey other day. now i have to take this untill june 5th and i am leaving to on mys second vacantion on june 29 so i was wondering is it safe to sun tan a month after stopping accutane?
There is a higher incidence of sunburn while on Accutane or shortly afterward.
