Is It Safe To Take Alendronate For Osteoporosis?

started taking alendronate 70 the end of october once a week for osteoporosis on dexa scan. in mid December woke with tingling in right hand down through fingers and limited rotation of left shoulder. no injury to either area at that time. I did fracture my left wrist in july but had no residual side effects to the shoulder at that time. I read the information sheet in the alendronate box that numbness/tingling as a side effect as well as muscle/joint pain. could these bilateral symptoms appear suddenly due to the medication.
