Is It Safe To Take Aricept Along With Quetiapine And Xanax While Suffering From UTI?

My mom has Alzheimer s, moderate state, is 66 years old. She was taken to ER yesterday with UTI and extreme behavior changes as a result of the UTI. She takes Namenda and Aricept normally. She was given Quetiapine, Cephalxin and Xanax. We are concerned about drug interactions. She is very dizzy and lethargic now. We don t know if it is the new meds or continued problems with the UTI.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms don't seem to be related to a drug interaction.
The medications that your mother is using does not have interaction between them.
They are more related to Alzheimer so I suggest to see a neurologist for further evaluation.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
