Is It Safe To Take Ativan At Night And Lexapro During Day For Insomnia?

My 38 yr. old daughter suddenly developed insomnia about two months ago, became very stressed and depressed......saw her GP who prescribed Ativan at night and lexapro during the day. She has been on them for about 10 days but has many side effects listed as "less severe" on the Mayo Clinic website. We were wondering how long the side effects might last. She also saw an endocrinologist who took 9 vials of blood for testing, but we haven't gotten the results back yet

1.ATIVAN is a sedative that's why it has to be taken at night.It should be taken in the day.
2.LEXAPRO is a anti anxiety drug so it is best taken during day time.
The less severe side effects will subside within few weeks,and do not bother about these effects.If a doctor prescribed you any drug it means that the benefits of the drug outweighing the side effects for you.So do not worry your daughter will be fine.
