Is It Safe To Take Augmentin During Pregnancy?

I am a 23 year old female and I m about 3 months pregnant. I believe I am suffering from a urinary tract infection because I constantly have the urge to pee but i don t actually have to go; it s very discomforting. My doctor prescribed Augmentin 625mg to take one every 12 hours for a week. I am a bit skeptical and just wondering if it is actually safe to take during pregnancy since the pharmaceutical form indicates that it should be avoided during pregnancy, especially during the first trimeter. I am very worried and I would like a suggestion for a medicine that is safe to take during pregnancy to relieve this discomfort. Is this medicine safe for me?
