Is It Safe To Take Benadryl To Treat Runny Nose Inspite Of Taking Musinex For Pneumonia?
I have been diagnosed with pneumonia. I m on an antibiotic and taking musinex to help loosen it up. I never started with a cold or runny nose, but now because of the musinex I m drowning in fluid! Is it safe to take Benadryl to help sleep and dry my nose without changing the course of treatment? I know it s important to cough to get rid of the mucus. Thank you

Benadryl can cause drowsiness. So, it may affect the effect of Mucinex. I recommend to avoid using them together. I suggest to drink liquids and rest.
