Is It Safe To Take Chlorpromazine With Valium And Risperidone?
Good day doctor!..I would like to know if chlorpromazine/ zycloran 100 mg tablet twice a day, can mix together with resperidone tablet and a Valium. Is it safe to take them together? Risdone is 6mg per day and Valium only at night time.Thank you for answering my question...My brother is suffering from depression wherein he has hallucinations and at times he s manic.
Using valium with chlorpromazine, usually increase sedation and drowsiness. Also, simultaneous use of chlorpromazine with risperidone may change the rhythm of the heart to a dangerous level. Therefore, it is always advisable to consult your treating psychiatrist in this regards before changing the combination or / and dosage of the drugs.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
