Is It Safe To Take Cipro Along With Tizanidine?

My NP prescribed cipro for a bladder infection. After I got home and took one dose, I noticed my urine was a good bit darker. Also, it says it should not be taken with Tizanidine. I take Tizanidine every night, but the NP didn t tell me NOT to take it. She had my medication list in front of her. Was this an oversight on her part or is it OK to take?

Tizanidine and Ciprofloxacin CAN NEVER BE taken together. Ciprofloxacin is CONTRAINDICATED for patients taking Tizanidine.

Reason: Ciprofloxacin affects hepatic metabolism of Tizanidine and increases its effects on the body. Serious life threatening consequences may happen.
