Is It Safe To Take Diethycarbamazine And Chlorpheniramine For Eosinophilia?
I am 23 year old male havig dry cough sinxe last 2 months. 3 different drs did therapy with different antibiotics and others but it gave me a temporary relief and after that condition is diagnosed as a eosinophilia so what could be the line of treatment dr gave me a diethylcarbamazine + chlorepheneramine maleate so is it correct??
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern... Eosinophilia is a condition in which eosinophils are elevated in number in blood. Eosinophilia is normally seen in allergic diseases like allergic rhinitis, allergic bronchitis, asthma, etc & parasitic infections. So your doctor has given you a anti-parasitic drug (Diethycarbamazine) and Anti allergic medicine (Chlorpheniramine ). This treatment plan is good & should be continued. Also as allergic condition is suspected in you so you should keep yourself protected from dust, mite, pollen etc. It might be helpful for your cough as well.
Hope this information helps. Get well soon.
