Is It Safe To Take Diprospan During Pregnancy Despite Its Steroid Content?

Hi Dr! I am 7 months pregnant. Just last week, I took Diprospan injection with my Ob-Gyne's advise and procedure, in 2 consecutive days, 2 ampules each day, because mu baby is too small for his age. Is it ok and safe for my baby, even if it has steroid content? Thank you and God bless! :)

Hello!
From the late studies multiple courses of prenatal corticosteroids ,compared with a single course, taken by pregnant women to help prevent preterm birth was associated with no increase or decrease in the risk of death or disability.,but multiple courses should be not recommended with ongoing risk of preterm birth.
You should take the advice of your gyn . because she/he gave you for the right thing(to reach the pulmonary maturity of baby)
Take care of your self and God bless and you
