Is It Safe To Take Dydrogesterone And Duphaston?

I m pregnant for 6 weeks 4 days. I have spotting.Dr gave me an injection and duphaston dydrogesterone 10mg (3 times per day). I went to do ultrasound,so far no heart beat,only can see pregnancy sac. Kindly advise whether is it safe to take this medicines?

Understand your concern
Yes Dydrogesterone and Duphaston are safe during the pregnancy. It should be given to prevent the miscarriage and maintain the growth of the pregnancy in high risk case.
I think absent the heart beat in the USG may be due to low progesterone that is the reason of giving the above injection and tablet.
It does not affect the baby.
It should be taken under the advice of gynecologist and go for regular USG follow up to know the growth of baby.
Folic acid should be given, Take healthy diet with supplements of iron.
