General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

If she has a history of hemorrhoids then an acute flare up may cause bleeding.

It is possible that the bleeding occurred due to the ibuprofen which is in the family of drugs called NSAIDS.

NSAIDS can cause bleeding in some persons.

If she is over 50, with no recent colonoscopy then screening may be needed.

I hope this helps
