Is It Safe To Take Lamisil To Treat Ringworm On Arm,chest And Abdomen?
Hello. I a have what appears to be ringworm on my arm as well as abdomen and chest (5 dime sized areas). I am not sure where I could have contracted it other than the gym. I started with otc fungal creams for about 5 weeks that did not seem to help. I went to a PCP who prescribed po lamisil. I am now on day 3 of the orals ( 14 day prescription, 250 mg po q day). It is still early on into the po treatment and i dont expect to see results yet, but when can i expext to see results? Also, Is there a possiblity that this could be something other than ringworm due to the fact that it is not reacting to topical antifungals?
Hi there ! Thanks for choosing HCM for assistance. I have gone through through case thoroughly. Terbinafine(Lamisil) is good for fungal treatment. U should carry it on as prescribed. Its not the right time to assess if the treatment is working or not. Fungal treatment takes time to resolve completely. Its not like a bacterial infection that goes away with a couple of day treatment. So keep going with it and I am sure you will get healthy soon. Give me a feedback at the end.
