Is It Safe To Take Mucinex DM And Walgreen's Mucus Relief For Coulgh?
Hi, I have a cold and low fever, I take Losartan and Amiodipine Besylate, just wanted to be sure it would be ok if I take Mucinex DM and/or Walgreen's Mucus relief for my cough. It's in my chest and I'm not able to bring up the flem, and I'm wheezing.
Thanks for your question on HCM. I can understand your situation and problem. Yes, you can take mucinex tablet. It is having N acetyl Cystiene (NAC). It is having following properties. 1. Anti inflammatory 2. Anti oxidant 3. Mucolytic 4. Expectorant. So it is good drug to clear secretion in chest. I also advice you to consult pulmonologist and get done PFT (pulmonary function test) to rule out bronchitis as you are wheezing too. So if bronchitis is there then you need to take inhaled bronchodilators too along with mucinex. So better to consult pulmonologist and discuss all these.
