Is It Safe To Take Sudafed For Buzzing Sensation In Head?
hi I have humming on upper left side of head. I took Sudafed yesterday and it went away I took Sudafed today and now I got a tooth ache on a tooth that has had a big hole in it for the longest time. can the Sudafed had have cause now the tooth to ache and my heache to hum.?
Sudafed can cause side effects like tremors, restlessness, insomnia, nausea, vomiting, nervousness, hypertension, atrial fibrillation, myocardial infarction, ventricular premature beats, and ischemic colitis. Your tooth ache is not due to Sudafed. It's not advisable to use Sudafed for buzzing in the head.
Buzzing in the head may be due to migraine headache, intracranial aneurysm, exertion headache, space occupying lesion in brain or inner ear pathology. Instead of using Sudafed, please consult a neuro-physician for a detailed clinical examination and appropriate treatment. Tooth is better handled by dentist.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
