hi im in decent physical shape and on opiates for chronic pain, my resting heart rate is 50-55. i take two 10mg norco every 4 hrs? is there any cause for concern for the opiates bringing blood pressure and heart rate too low and thus jeporadize my health?
It is better to avoid opiate group of drugs for prolonged periods unless if the pain is due to cancer or if pain is not releived with any other drugs. Opiates will not seriously affect blood pressure and heart rate; but they can produce addiction ,tolerance and withdrawal symptoms which may be serious
