Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is It Safe To Undergo Hysterectomy For Complex Hyperplasia During Peri Menopause?
Had an endometrial ablation two weeks ago for extreme bleeding during peri-menopause. A biopsy prior to the procedure showed no issues. The tissue removed immediately prior to the ablation was tested and came back indicating complex hyperplasia w/o atypia. Since the ablation will likely mask any signs of it getting worse and a history of andenoyoma, a hysterectomy has been suggested as a next step. Is this a reasonable way to proceed?
Hello Welcome to Health Care Magic. Don't worry much. Stay calm. it is reasonable to go for hysterectomy to get rid of the risk of the carcinoma. and your peri-menopausal uterus has anyway has no reason to preserve. Hope this information helps you. Best wishes.
