Hello,

If you are not planning for a baby, you should be on regular contraceptive pills or contraceptive device. However, you can use spermicide but it is not full proof and offers no protection against STI. In case of unprotected intercourse, you can take I pill within 72 hours to prevent pregnancy. It is one time use.

I pill helps to prevent pregnancy but it cannot protect you from sexually transmitted diseases. You are suggested to go for protected sex to avoid STI. Avoid multiple partners to stay on the safer side.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
