Is It Safe To Use Triphasil As A Contraceptive?

Hi iv been using an oral contraceptive pill called trigestral for 1 an a half years an i never had any side effects or problems with them...a friend an i started using it the same time...now our nurse has changed us to triphasil...i have not yet started the triphasil but my friend has an she has broke out in pimples all over her face...would the same happen to me once i start the triphasil pill? Is triphasil safe..we are both 21 an do not have any kids...should we opt for a different pill? Could this decrease our chances of having a baby one day?

Hi, Welcome to HCM.

Oral contraceptive medicine is not good for health. This could cause many side effects later or sooner, it can only be used in just emergency. For the long-term basis, this is not advisable. Of course, this could cause acne and this could happen with any oral contraceptive pill because this is a hormone.
