Is It Safe To Wait For RHogam Shot Until 28 Weeks Of Pregnancy For RH Incompatibility?
Hello, my blood type is o negative and my husbands blood type is o positive.my first pregnancy ended in miscarriage due to rh incompatibility. So I recieved the rhogam shot. Then I got pregnant a month later and recieved the rhogam shot at 28 weeks and when she was born I recieved a rhogam shot due to her being o positive. Then I got pregnant 9 months later and recieved the rhogam during an amniocentesis and 28 weeks and birth due to her being o positive. Then I got pregnant 10 months later and recieved the rhogam at 28 weeks and birth due to her being o positive. Then I got pregnant 16 months later and my rhogam shot will expire in June and my doctor still wants to wait till 28 weeks to give me the rhogam so that means I will have to go 3 months before recieving the shot . Will I develope antibodies that will attack the fetus if I let my rhogam shot expire ?
