Is It Serious If EKG Shows Normal Sinus Rhythm With Possible Left Atrial Enlargement, incomplete Right Bundle Branch Block, and Borderline ECG Leftward Axis?
I had a ekg done in june and it states normal sinus rhythm with possible left atrial enlargement, incomplete right bundle branch block, and borderline ECG leftward axis. Is there any need for me to worry and should i follow up with a heart doctor. I am a 52 y.o.woman who does smoke.
Thanks for the query. Well, you should worry not due to the ECG, but the fact that heart disease is the number one cause of death and premature disability in women; 80% of all cardiac deaths are preventable, and smoking cigarretes is the most important contributor, along with high cholesterol, to heart disease.
The right bundle branch and the left atrial enlargement are relatively benign.
Hope that helps, wish you the best,
