Is It Serious To Have Blood Pressure Level Of 176/100?

I am a 47 year old female with a clear physical and only suffer from acid re-flux and take omeprazole for that once daily in the morning. My blood pressure is always around 100/80 and was that a month ago when I was at the doctor. This morning, I went into my doctor s office for a follow up and my blood pressure was 176/100 (they took it 4 times with 4 different cuffs - 2 different nurses). My doctor didn t seem at all concerned and just told me to come back in two months for a follow up. Looking online, it seems like it is something serious that should be addressed immediately. Thoughts?

Hi I read your query very carefully.

I suggest sseeing another doctor. Monitor your BP for a week and if the BP is > 140/90 mmHg than you should see another doctor to start treatment.

Hope it wss of help!
