Hi,

I can understand your concern for the severe rashes, red and sore areas.

The very first and important information to provide you is if it matches with multiple blisters on one side of body and specifically at one region only then it can be an outbreak of shingles. It begins as. The blisters remain for a period of around 7-14 days and then forms scab which fall off in next 2 weeks.
So if your symptoms matches the above thing then it is shingles only. The pain and discomfort remains for a long period of time even up to multiple months.

If your symptoms are not matching above then you need to take second opinion and accordingly go for the investigations suggested by the doctor. It is not a good choice to g for scan by yourself without a expert opinion.

You may need antiviral such as Acyclovir orally for 5-7 days for proper treatment.

Hope these informations are helpful.
