Is It To Be Concerned For Heavy Rectal Bleeding And Fainting?
Hi. I have been feeling faint for awhile now and have been treated for sinus infection since the fall. I now have rectal bleeding, which I ve had from time to time, but today it was heavier and my faintness was worse. Should I consult my physician?
Hello dear I understand your concern Heavy rectal bleeding could be a inflammatory bowel disease, piles, polyp in colon. Blood loss aggravate the fainting. I advise you to consult the Gastroenterologist and undergo following tests, Routine blood test like CBC, ESR, Blood glucose, CRP, stool microscopy and culture, USG of abdomen, colonoscopy/sigmoidoscopy. Take iron supplements, healthy diet and drink lots of water Treatment will depend on the cause of the problem. Hope this may help you
