Is Itching All Over The Body A Side Effect Of Sulfamethoxazole/Trimethoprim?

I had a urinary tract iinfection ecently and was put on ciproflaxcin...after 3 doses I could see my face swollen and called my doctor and they prescribed sulfameth/trimethoprim for 7 days every 12 hrs for 7 days...I have been taking the medicine since 3 days but still feel the burning sensation and mild back pain...now I have rash which is itchy all over my body.is this side effects of medicine,could this mean something serious?

I really appreciate your concern, in my opinion the best way to treat the urinary tract infection is to get done the urine culture sensitivity test, else treating the UTI like this only may not give proper result, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
