Is Itchy, Allegic Skin Due To Intake Of Meftagesic-P Suspension For Fever?
Hi,, my son is 45 months and he was having fever with 102-103 temp. We initially gave him Colpol syrup but the fever was not getting reduced. after a gap of 4 hours we gave him meftagesic-p suspension. The got reduced but found that there was allergy over his skin and itching. Is it a side effect of the syrup or some other reason. would you suggest any anti-allergic?

It might be allergic reaction due to meftagesic-p.
Now,don't give him.
Start cold water sponging to reduce the fever.
Apply calamine,aloevera lotion to get cool effect.
Start syp.levocetrizine to subside allergic episode.
Sometime steroid is also required to subside it with anti allergic.
Be watchful for next time.
Get examined by pediatrician for proper diagnosis and management.
